As a contractor, I have the experience with the multiple phases of designing and renovating your kitchen. I have first-hand experience dealing with unforeseen issues that may arise during the project; such as moving a plumbing drain or relocating an oven’s gas line, how much electrical wiring will be necessary, just to name a few. We will sit down with you and make a plan and work out all the details before providing a final quote for your project. Some of the things to consider are;
Space Planning: This phase includes preliminary floor plans showing the layout and cabinet sizes. You need a plan in order to figure out where materials and appliances will go and how many square feet you will need. We will discuss details as to whether you are you remodeling your kitchen within the existing footprint. If you want to relocate the sink or range, which would mean moving the plumbing or gas lines. If you are planning on opening up to another room and you aren’t sure if you have a load-bearing wall. Space planning will determine exactly how your kitchen will function.
Fixtures and finishes: Throughout this process you need to make your final selection of finishes and fixtures. This usually includes: Cabinetry construction type, doorstyle, finish and color, Countertop material, appliances, sink and faucet, Light fixtures, Flooring, Backsplash, and decorative hardware. You can review a list of design options below that you need to consider in this phase.
Bid Price List and Contract: Once the plan and details are done I will get some ballpark estimates and find out if we’re on the right track or need to pull back some to fit the budget. Upon your review of estimates and approval of the contract; we will get a deposit from you and put you on our schedule to begin your kitchen renovation.
